Trauma
Heal from what happened—without having to relive it all.
Trauma isn’t just about what happened—it’s about what stayed with you. It can leave emotional imprints that affect your body, thoughts, relationships, and sense of safety long after the event has passed. Sometimes it’s a single event; other times, it’s something that happened over and over. Either way, your nervous system remembers.
Trauma can make you feel disconnected, on edge, easily overwhelmed, or emotionally numb. You might experience flashbacks, nightmares, intrusive thoughts, or strong emotional reactions that feel out of your control. Even if you’ve tried to “move on,” something inside may still feel stuck.

Trauma can take many forms, such as:
Single-Event Trauma – car accidents, medical emergencies, natural disasters, or assaults
Complex Trauma – ongoing exposure to abuse, neglect, or instability, often in childhood
Relational Trauma – betrayal, abandonment, or harm within close relationships
Developmental Trauma – early experiences that disrupted your sense of safety and self-worth
Secondary or Vicarious Trauma – distress from witnessing or supporting others through trauma
Therapeutic Approaches I Use
In therapy, we go gently. We don’t force you to relive your trauma. Instead, we build trust, safety, and grounding skills first—so that when we begin to process what happened, your system is ready. Together, we work toward helping your mind and body release what got stuck, so it no longer has to show up in your present.
EMDR Therapy
To help your brain reprocess distressing memories without re-traumatizing
Schema Therapy
To uncover and heal core beliefs shaped by early or ongoing trauma
Somatic and Mindfulness-Based Techniques
To reconnect with your body and regulate your nervous system gently and safely
There Is a Way Forward
Trauma may have shaped your past—but it doesn’t have to define your future. Healing is possible, even if it’s felt out of reach for a long time.
Even if you can’t explain exactly what happened—or don’t want to talk about it in detail—therapy can help you feel safer, more grounded, and more in control of your story.
You don’t have to carry the weight of trauma alone.
Therapy can help you reclaim your sense of self, rebuild inner safety, and create space for peace, strength, and healing.
